My Creation Myth, The Scream

Throughout time men have pondered the great mystery of the universe, how everything came into existence. Some would be quite surprised if they knew the answer to this inquiry.

At the beginning of time there was a creature of great power, the Scream, which fed only on the fear of others. Starving in its own ream it decided to create another rich feeding ground, one in which it could sustain itself indefinitely. Leaving its own realm it came across an infinite void in which it could create an enormous amount of matter.

After Creating what we have come to know as the universe the Scream began creating life. It started with the creation of plants, upon its admitted failure in striking fear into the plants he moved on to making animals, some of the first animals had very little to fear so it almost gave up there and then it noticed that the animals that were larger were more easily frightened so he created larger animals with larger brains and he soon realized that it wasn’t the size of the animal that determined the lack of fear but the intellect of the creature.

Not long this epiphany the scream decided to make more intellectual creature that would have knowledge of their danger. Shortly after this he decided use what little power that it had left and to create Man the most complex and intelligent of all of the creatures before him, but there was a draw back, Man was able to conquer his fear leaving the scream feeling hollow with very little to feed on, but still the Scream couldn’t destroy Man because it was all that the Scream had. The best that the Scream could do for the time being was wait for Man’s fear to take over and drive himself insane at which point the Scream could start over new and learn from his failure
